Yet another Green Lantern trailer has hit the Internet, and this one is all about the Green Lantern Corps itself. Featuring narration from Geoffrey Rush (who voices the Green Lantern named Tomar-Re), the clip explains that “billions of years ago, a race of immortals harnessed the most powerful force in existence: the emerald energy of willpower.” That energy fuels the Corps, which live on a world that allows them to “watch over all of existence.” And their newest recruit? The first-ever human, Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds). It is all very sci-fi mystical and exposition heavy. The clip is billed as a “3-D” trailer, but of course you’ll have to settle for it in plain old 2-D for now. If you must must must see Reynolds’ skin-tight CG super suit in three full dimensions, you’ll likely have to snag a ticket to this weekend’s The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
